Science and Spirituality

Let us begin by clarifying that spirituality is not religion. Most religions tell us a list of do’s and don’ts, value systems, and rituals. These do not constitute spirituality. Spirituality may be defined as a seeking for  understanding the self and gaining clarity on the purpose of life.

Sooner or later in life, almost every human being wonders about what the purpose of life is. There is also a question of who one really is. Everyone also has a concept of God – even those who say, “I don’t believe in God”! For those who ‘believe’ in God, it might provide some kind of crutch, but really, God is not something to believe blindly in, but something to be well understood.

Every thinking person sees the world around himself/herself and wants to know the reality of the world; how it was created; how will it end. Things feel solid, but a little contemplation raises doubts about this apparent solidity… (Click read more to read the full article)
